Web mode – it’s a bitch.
If you are in web mode, you will not be able to receive visitors in your house.
Web mode is also unfriendly in houses you visit – it can cause others to freeze and crash, particularly the house
owner. So it is a good idea to get this sorted out first.
Check your firewall – sometimes this is enough to get you out of web mode.
Go to your control panel>Security Centre>Windows Firewall (or whichever one you use)
In Exceptions, make sure you tick the boxes for Moove AND Roomancer
– you must do both.
You may have to restart your PC to see if this gets you out of web mode.
If that doesn’t work then you need more help.
Find out the make and model of your router.
There are tutorials available just to sort out web
mode – do this next! You will need to configure your router to accept Moove -
this sounds scary but it isn't so bad. http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm offers a step by step guide on how to do this.
Once done, you shouldn’t need to change your
settings again. It is possible to drop into web mode temporarily but those lulls
tend to clear up quickly without interference.
If you drop into web mode, go to the community page, scroll down the left menu to check connection and click
on it and that may pull you out again.
